My name is Andrew Consales. I am a video producer, photographer,  animator, and environmental scientist in training. For as long as I can remember I've been obsessed with trying to understand the natural world we live in.  Media provides a powerful tool to communicate and teach about the wonders of modern science and nature. However it serves as a double sided sword  capable of spreading misinformation and falsehoods just as readily.

My goal is to provide provocative, academically enriched media, that can remain engaging without sacrificing content. Having a scientifically literate population is essential for maintaining an informed democracy. Especially in an age where the internet offers an overwhelming amount of content and misinformation.

My major for my bachelors degree is in electronic media. I also devoted part of my education to studying Earth Science. In spring 2017 when I graduate I'll also be receiving a minor degree in environmental science and I plan on further pursuing my studies at the graduate level. This has been hugely beneficial to me as a media maker. My ability to conduct academic research and analyze scholarly research papers has allowed me to hold myself to the highest standard of  integrity when converting scholarly research to layman friendly videos communicating complicated ideas.
